Champan launch and trials

10/02/2011 § Leave a comment

The very first fibre glass Champan was launched at TaraTari shipyard.

Basic version is now on trials prior to a first batch order.  In this first steps the boat is running well with engine or sail. Decent speed was reached as predicted in the preliminary stage of the construction, plus, the boat being high on the water under lightweight loading allows to project and validate already her future heavy carriage use.

More detailed pictures and descriptions after finalisation of detail design. But it is looking good so far.

Followings are the first images of the launch and trial.
