LFH has entered drydock for overhaul and design modifications.

Major changes are being done to this hospital ship that has provided medical care to more than one million Bangladeshi.

This well known re-converted French River Barge is to be extended on the under-water part to improve its capacity and stability. After a few month refit, consisting of addition of dental theatre and increased surgical facilities, she will be heading back to the north of Bangladesh, in the most isolated places and will continue with its purpose; “caring for a better life”

Next visit to the shipyard, one week after the first frame, work still in progress, not as fast as we thought. However, the extension is coming into shape.
