Masdoris fishing boat prototype out of the water

27/11/2010 § Leave a comment

For the last time the first Masdoris was taken out of the water.

After two years of testing and optimisation leading to the actual production, this first prototype will now be upgraded for future use at sea.  The added ‘tail’ made of plywood and fibre glass will be replaced by a full fibre one. This boat is now part of the order from Friendship Luxembourg for 6 fishing boats; 4 fully new production and 2 upgraded previous version.

The lift out wasn’t easy as the slope of the river side has been increased due to the water level going down in the last month.

A good time to try the trolley adapted for the fishermen of the south using this boat…

Another output of the lifting operation was the involuntary ‘load test’ of jute fibre ropes as we broke 3 of them with diameter varying from 1cm to 1 inch.
